When we say, "It just doesn't get any better than this!" We really, really, really mean it. Tuscany on a bright spring day being driven around by a flamboyant Italian is the BEST. There was not a cloud all day, but it stayed relatively cool. . . Hurrah for Spring!! For starters, Ale picked us up and wisked us away to the magnificent Tuscan country side! WOW! Montelchino, Pienza and Montepulciano. . . . with stops in between for photo ops, a cathedral or two along the way and a spa. Ale took us way off the beaten path behind Montepulciano to a special little "Hole in the wall" restaurant tucked nto a side of the hill. Outstanding!! When left to their own devices, the Italians know how to cook up a meal!! The Photo ops are simply overwhelming. After wearing out all our batteries we just gave up and hung out the windows of Ale's Fiat. . . That is the best way to absorb Tuscany!
Back in Siena we catch the magnificent Duomo at sunset and hike to Il Campo for some people watching and restaurant selection. This trip is wizzing  by. Tomorrow we are back on our own catching the bus to Florence and another Duomo!! All is well with the world. We haven't watched the news in days and find that to be an exceptional way to get on with one's life. Drink some wine for us as we will drink some for you! Cin Cin!
